We recommend scheduling your session a few months in advance but at least two weeks before. This allows us plenty of time to design your dream session, order outfits and props, and reserve permits if needed.
It is best to reserve your maternity photographer in your second trimester so you can have your session between 30 and 35 weeks. The earlier you schedule your session, the more options you have.
Newborns often have their own ideas of scheduling. We recommend scheduling your newborn photography session in your second or third trimester so that you secure your due date. We realize that things don't always go as planned, so once the baby arrives, we set up an official session date.
Typically, you wait until the baby is 7 to 21 days old. After that, it can be more challenging to achieve those sleepy, baby photography poses.
