Fresh 48 sessions offer a heartfelt way to cherish your baby’s very first hours. These sessions serve as a relaxed alternative to a posed, studio-style newborn photography sessions. Your images will preserve the raw, fleeting moments that may become a bit of a blur as your little love continues to grow over the years. From the tiniest details you might be too exhausted to remember to the emotional first meetings with family and friends, every memory will be lovingly documented.

Like the name implies, Fresh 48 sessions take place within the first 48 hours of your baby being born. From their little skin flakes to tiny wrinkles and rolls, these are the details you'll want to remember years from now.
Scheduling your FRESH 48 photography session
what's included
Due to the on-call nature of these sessions, there will be a very limited number of these sessions available per year. I recommend booking very early in your pregnancy to ensure availability.
A 45 minute to 1 hour documentary-style session taking place in your hospital room or birthing center. We will capture poses of baby alone as well as parents/siblings. Your fresh 48 session will include digital images of your choosing to commemorate this once-in-a-lifetime moment in your life.

Once your signed contract and session payment are received, your due date will be penciled into our calendar and we will be “on-call”. After baby arrives (or once baby is on their way), parents will reach out as soon as possible to let us know so we can begin to set aside time in our schedule.

Like the name implies, Fresh 48 sessions take place within baby's first 48 hours earthside. Sessions are best held in the mornings or early afternoon to ensure that we have proper daylight during your session, as daylight is our primary light source.

Fresh 48 hospital sessions can take anywhere from 30 minutes to about one hour. I do my best to work efficiently so that you can get back to bonding with your family and resting as soon as possible.

This is totally up to you and how you feel the day of your session. Some moms pack a robe or matching loungewear set. Others wear their hospital gown. Whichever option you choose, please select what you all are most comfortable and feel your best in!

We have photographed Fresh 48 sessions at MUSC- Medical University of South Carolina, Summerville Medical Center, Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital, and Roper St. Francis Berkeley Hospital but are happy to travel to other hospitals.
