Whether you’re first-time parents embarking on this brand new adventure or growing your family by ten tiny fingers and toes, you are entering into a new chapter in life and these moments will pass you by in the blink of an eye. A newborn portrait session is the perfect opportunity to document every tiny detail, freezing them in time forever.

Newborn sessions typically last 2-3 hours, allowing plenty of time for feedings, diaper changes, and a few snuggles along the way. All of my newborn sessions are baby-led. This means that all of their movements and cues are carefully observed throughout the session to ensure their comfort.
Scheduling your newborn photography session
To ensure availability on my calendar, I encourage expecting mothers to book your newborn session during your second trimester. Once you have booked your newborn session and your session fee is paid, and your booking form is signed, I will save your due date on my calendar. From there, you will contact me ASAP once your bundle of joy arrives and we will set your actual session date. Studio-style newborn sessions typically take place between 5-19 days old. After your session is booked, we will further discuss color options, possible setups, props, and accessories in order to fully customize your session!

Newborn sessions require a non-refundable session fee payment of $250. The session fee reserves your spot on our calendar, and includes set designs, full access to props, outfits, and accessories needed for your session, as well as your session time, and full retouching of your images.
**Newborn Session Collections begin at $400. Your session fee will be applied towards the image collection of your choosing. The remaining balance for your desired collection is due 1 week prior to your session date.

Newborn sessions typically last 2-3 hours, allowing plenty of time for feedings, diaper changes, and a few snuggles along the way to keep baby content. During the session, we will work based on baby’s cues to capture a variety of newborn poses, sweet family photos, those tiny little features that will soon be just a memory.
The sooner, the better! I encourage expectant parents to contact me during their second trimester to ensure availability on my calendar. I only book a small number of sessions each month so availability is very limited. Newborn sessions typically take place between 5-19 days of age. Sessions are available for older newborns, with the understanding that baby may be more awake, alert, and possibly swaddled for the vast majority of the session. Babies up to about five weeks of age will be considered “newborns.”
Absolutely! Your session fee includes parent sibling, and family shots if you so desire. I always encourage parents to join in, even if it’s only a few shots. These are moments you just can’t get back. Let’s make the most of them!
During every newborn session, baby runs the show. All of my newborn sessions are baby-led, which means that I follow cues given by the baby. If baby gets fussy, we can take a small break for a feed, diaper change, or just to take a pause. I encourage all of my newborn mamas to take a thorough look over the newborn session prep guide to help the session flow more smoothly.
Approximately 2 weeks after your session takes place, we will meet again for your Viewing and Ordering Appointment. At this appointment, you will view the full gallery for the first time, select all of your favorite images, and place your customized artwork order. You only purchase what you absolutely love!
