One question that I get fairly often is “Do you only photograph babies and maternity?”
The short answer to this question is yes. But allow me to shine a light on the reason why.
Three years ago, I had exploratory surgery to get to the bottom of some ongoing issues I had been having. After months of tests, lab work, pain management techniques, and unanswered questions, I had officially been diagnosed with Endometriosis.
As a 22-year-old at the time who has ALWAYS loved working with babies and admired the power that mothers possess, this was NOT a diagnosis that I wanted to hear. But it had been confirmed. After the initial shock and whirlwind of emotions subsided, I knew that I wanted to do SOMETHING to raise awareness and bring some form of hope and happiness to those who face this battle. And I believe that when God gives you a gift, you use that gift to gift to others.

A well-known scripture. A popular phase seen and used by many when announcing their newest addition to the family! But there are so many other things that lay behind this phrase.
While this phrase is rooted in religion, I feel as though ANY parent who has finally received their miracle can relate.
For this child, I have prayed.
For this child, I have sacrificed.
For this child, I have endured rounds of IVF.
For this child, we have been through many adoption attempts.
For this child, we have suffered a loss.
For this child, we have cried.
For this child, we have hoped for a miracle.
I’ve decided that once a month, I will be gifting a Charleston newborn photography session to a family that has fought through the struggles of infertility to grow their family. This program will allow you the opportunity to share your unique story and hopefully inspire and encourage others who may be facing the same struggles that you have.
